USChess is an organization that strives to empower and improve the lives of its members through the game of chess. USChess ranks thousands of players yearly and shows America the joys of the game. During this project I created a new brand identity to use in a multi-asset campaign for their upcoming Jr. Night Tourney event. They wanted to create a place for their newest audience, the scholastic audience, to play and be immersed in the world of chess.

My main goal for this project was to create a strong logo for USChess and incorporate their new brand identity into the Jr. Tourney Night. I chose to make an abstracted version of the Knight. Not only is it one of the most interesting pieces in chess, it is the most recognizable, especially to younger generations. They wanted to retain aspects of their previous brand, so I incorporated their colors but used them in a high contrast way to mimic a chess board.
